The Guildwars website claims that Game.net (and it's high st stores Game) are vendors for the pre order kit.

Game have never heard of it. I tried their website, the local store and their national helpline. They are still claiming that there is only one factions kit, due out 28th April.

Just to add to this, none of the stores to buy the pre order kit listed on the guildwars.com website know about this pre order box. Someones being treated like mushrooms.

Does anyone know if pre-order from Amazon.com, will you get the pre-order package? Will they send the package to you at no extra cost or shipping fee?

Where? I can't see any listings for vendors of the preroder package on the website, outside the US. The online package is only released in Europe from 3rd March, and the boxed package will only be available from 31st March.

Game however, are being odd, as their website does list GW:F for release on 28th April, but the graphic for the box clearly says preorder edition.

From March 3rd, we Europeans can download the online pre-order package, which is:

A key that provides access to the Factions Preview Event on March 24th
Access to Guild Wars Factions twenty-four hours before the official release date
Exclusive in-game items—one unique item for each of the two new professions
A "friend" key that gives one of your friends access to the Factions Preview Event on March 24th.

From March 31st, we can buy a physical pre-order box, which contains all of the above, plus:

A tactical guide and quick-reference card PDF in five different languages
A CD that includes concept art, wallpapers, in-game movies, and Factions music
A Guild Wars Factions poster

Firstly, if I were to download the online pre-order, would I be able to attach it to my existing account, or is it only for those without existing Prophecies accounts (as Alex Weekes seemed to say here)?

Secondly, and least importantly, what use is the 'friend' key in the preorder box? It allows one person access to the March 24th Beta event... or at least, it would if it hadn't already happened, as you can only buy it from March 31st.

Okay, so we can pre-order Factions now. But I have heard that there will be a CE of Factions, though I am not sure what will be in it.

If we pre-order now are we screwing ourselves out of a chance to get the CE? I want my pre-order swag *and* I want whatever CE swag will be available.

I did not pre-order the original GW so I do not know how this process will work. Anyone have an idea on how to get *all* the swag without having to buy the game twice?

You can access March 24th event with you current account. Applying the pre-order key to your account will give you 24 hours advanced access before Factions release and Exclusive in-game items—one unique item for each of the two new professions.

The friend key is included in the online order, so you can get it after March 3rd.

The best suggestion is to ask your local store if they will change your order to CE when it's coming out.

You still got at least 3 days until you are able to. Plenty of time for them to let you know on the main Guild Wars site where you can do so.
